Hello! Welcome to Brightway Psychiatry! Meet Dr. Vanise Bastien, a compassionate board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. She is the founder and the owner of Brightway Psychiatry. Dr. Bastien understands the debilitative effects of mental illness and how personal and difficult it is for individuals to seek mental healthcare. She places high priority on respecting her clients and providing strict privacy. She brings forth a nurturing environment that fosters trust and healing. Dr. Bastien believes that individuals with mental illness should be confident to seek mental healthcare without the fear of stigma. She therefore makes it a priority to help dispel misconceptions regarding mental illness in the community she serves.

Dr. Bastien is an experienced registered nurse who has been nursing for more than 12 years. She is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who specializes in adolescent and adult psychiatry. She obtained a master’s in nursing, specialized in psychiatric mental health, and Doctor of Nursing Practice from Florida International University.

Dr. Bastien values her clients’ engagement in the treatment decision process to formulate a personalized treatment plan that will bring them to optimal mental health. She is passionate about helping individuals feel empowered over their mental health journey and helping them reach mental stability, so they can live and enjoy life to their best of potential.
